Olivia Anselmo

Yoga has been an integral part of Olivia’s life since she first started practicing in 2002. Over the years, yoga has transformed from a physical exercise to a way of life for her. It has opened up new possibilities, enriched her relationships, and brought a deeper sense of balance and creativity.

After practicing for two years, Olivia decided to take her passion for yoga to the next level and became a teacher in 2004. Since then, she has devoted herself to teaching yoga with compassion and precision, continuously developing her teaching style by deepening her understanding of the physical and mental benefits of yoga.

Olivia’s teaching style has been influenced greatly by her studies of yogic philosophies and traditions, which have made her approach increasingly diverse. However, the guiding principle of her classes, teacher training sessions, retreats, and workshops remains the same – when we live a life of yoga, we become more intimately connected to our True Self.

 

Marco Chelo, is an Italian musician and travel agent who divides his time between New York and Italy.
With an in-depth knowledge of the region, Marco promises to unveil Tuscany’s secrets, taking you to spots usually reserved for the locals. Marco has been organizing trips to Tuscany for his music school for many years.

Stay: Our retreat is the charming “Agriturismo La Pineta“, a working farm and vineyard nestled in Tuscany’s heart. Its central location offers convenient access to renowned cities like Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Montecatini, and Vinci. La Pineta features 5 elegant rooms in the main house and 5 exquisite apartments on the estate. Guests can also enjoy a pristine swimming pool and expansive terraces ideal for outdoor yoga. Sheltered spots ensure uninterrupted sessions even in unpredictable weather.

    • Invigorating morning yoga sessions and soothing evening restorative yoga.
    • Tranquil hikes along age-old trails.
    • Tours of medieval towns steeped in history.
    • Organic wine tastings and authentic pasta-making lessons.
    • Relaxing visits to thermal baths.

Day 1 – September 7 – Arrival

  • Upon Arrival: Transfer from San Miniato-Fucecchio Train Station to “Agriturismo La Pineta”. Free time to unpack and relax by the pool (weather permitting).
  • 7:00pm: Dinner in the garden featuring local specialties.

Day 2 – September 8 – Farm/Vineyard Day

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 10:15am: Yoga
  • 10:30am – 12:00pm: Free time to relax, take a walk or enjoy the pool
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Light Lunch
  • 01:00pm – 5:00pm: free time
  • 5:00pm – 7:00pm: Tour of the garden and vineyard, wine tasting, and pasta-making lesson.
  • 7:00pm – 8:00pm: Dinner featuring our self-made pasta.
  • 8:00pm – 9:00pm: Yin Yoga

Day 3 – September 9 – Pinocchio & Thermal Baths

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 10:00am: Yoga
  • 10:30am: Drive to Collodi and visit the birthplace of Pinocchio’s author and the Garzoni Park. Lunch in a local restaurant.
  • 2:00pm: Drive to Grotta Giusti for thermal baths. Optional massage and beauty treatments available.
  • 6:30pm: Return to La Pineta for  dinner.

 

Day 4 – September 10 – Florence

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 9:00am: Yoga
  • 10:00am: Train ride to Florence. Explore historical sites, which may include Santa Maria Novella, Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza Del Carmine, Mercato di Sant Ambrogio, Oltrarno, Boboli gardens, and Piazza Santo Spirito. Dinner in Borgo San Frediano.
  • Evening: Return to La Pineta.

Day 5 – September 11th – Farm/Vineyard Day

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 10:15am: Yoga
  • 10:30am – 12:00pm: Free time to relax, take a walk or enjoy the pool
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Light Lunch
  • 01:00pm – 5:00pm: free time and optional Excursion to close by San Miniato.
  • 7:00pm – 8:00pm: Dinner 
  • 8:00pm – 9:00pm: Yin Yoga

Day 6 – September 12 – Beach Day and Pisa

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 9:00am: Yoga
  • 09:30am: Depart for the Tuscan coast. Visit a beach or coastal town, lunch, and then explore Pisa.
  • 6:00pm: Return to La Pineta for dinner.

Via Francigena

Day 7 – September 13 – Via Francigena

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • 8:00am – 10:00am: Yoga
  • 10:30am – 12:30pm: Walk a section of Via Francigena. Begin in Fucecchio, move to Ponte a Cappiano, and then explore Ponte a Cappiano.
  • 12:30 – 1:30: Lunch in Ponte a Cappiano
  • Walk back to Cerbaie in the afternoon.
  • 5:00pm: Return to La Pineta for dinner.

Day 8 – September 14th – Departure

  • 7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
  • Departure: Transfer to the train station for onward journey.
  • Driver/Coordinator services
  • Vineyard tour with wine tasting and pasta-making class
  • Daily breakfast at La Pineta
  • Six delightful dinners and 2 lunch at La Pineta
  • Excursions to  Florence, Thermal Baths, Collodi, and more
  • Transportation in a 9-seater minivan, inclusive of highway tolls and gas
  • Seven nights’ stay at La Pineta
  • Round-trip train tickets to Florence
  • Entry fees for Collodi Park and Grotta Giusti Thermal Baths
  • Transfers from San Miniato-Fucecchio train station to La Pineta
  • Lunch during excursions 
  • Dinner during the Florence visit
  • Airport transfers ( airport transfers from Pisa or Florence available at an extra charge of approx 120 euro each way)
